David is a respected Australian saxophonist, conductor, record label owner, jazz festival artistic director and jazz educator. As artistic director and lead saxophonist of the Australian National Jazz Orchestra and Sydney's Jazzgroove Mothership Orchestra, David has collaborated and performed with leading international jazz artists Maria Schneider, Chris Potter, Darcy James Argue, Miguel Zenon, Jim McNeely, Alex Sipiagin, Bob Sheppard, Mike Nock, Bert Joris, Florian Ross, Ed Partyka, Charles Tolliver, John Hollenbeck, Theo Bleckmann, Dave Lisik, Will Vinson, plus Australian greats Judy Bailey, Steve Newcomb, Kristin Berardi, Dave Panichi, James Morrison, James Muller and Sean Wayland. David has been a full-time member of faculty at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music since 2006 where he is director of Australia's largest University big band program, and a lecturer in Music Business Skills, Improvisation, Ensemble and saxophone
