MUSICIAN Born:

David Lamm

I was born in 1978. I started playing the guitar at the age of twelve, at which time I was into all sorts of bluesy stuff, from B.B.King to Jimi Hendrix. During my highscool years I became interested in jazz and a few years later I started my studies with Gyula Babos at the Kőbánya Music Studio. Between 1999 and 2004 I was a pupil of the Ferenc Liszt Music Academy. After finishing my studies I worked for the Hungarian National Theatre, wrote tunes for several film and dance projects and played with a number of musicians in Budapest. I have worked with the reggae group Koala, blues band Spo-Dee-O-Dee, ethno-based groove gang HaGesher, trip-hop project Sadant

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
