Rex Richardson

Hailed in classical circles as “among the very best trumpet soloists in the world today,” (Journal of the ITG, 2011) and “One of the finest virtuosos of our time” (Brass Herald, 2018) and in jazz as “a standout soloist with the power, range and flexibility to rival Freddie Hubbard and Woody Shaw,” (DownBeat Magazine, 2014) Yamaha Performing Artist Rex Richardson was named the 2008 Brass Herald International Personality of the Year.

A veteran of the acclaimed chamber ensemble Rhythm & Brass, jazz legend Joe Henderson’s Quintet and Sextet, William Russo’s Chicago Jazz Ensemble, and the Brass Band of Battle Creek, known as the world’s “Rolls Royce of Brass Bands” (Brass Band World), he stays busy as a headline artist at international brass and jazz festivals and as a soloist with orchestras, concert bands, brass bands and jazz ensembles on six continents. These include Phoenix Symphony and Thailand Philharmonic Orchestras, the U.S. Army Field Band and Tokyo Symphonic Winds, England's Fodens Brass Band, and the U.S. Air Force's Airmen of Note Jazz Ensemble.

Daniel Weltlinger

Born in Sydney, Australia in 1977 and of French-Austro-Hungarian-Israeli family background, the critically acclaimed Berlin-based violinist and composer-producer Daniel Weltlinger has long been renowned worldwide for his distinctive warm sound and innovations within the genres of Gypsy-swing, jazz, Yiddish-klezmer and experimental/free-improvised music. He is frequently in demand in a recording or performance capacity, often in collaboration with an array of top musicians and ensembles in a variety of different formats, and is highly sought after for his technical and musical mastery on his main instrument

Eyran Katsenelenbogen

Born: July, 1965

Eyran Katsenelenbogen is a pianist who has performed throughout the world. In 2019, he released his latest solo album, titled Outstandards, with a concert tour that included venues in the U.S., Europe and Israel. Katsenelenbogen's recordings have been reviewed by jazz publications such as Jazziz, JazzTimes, Jazz Journal International and All About Jazz, which stated in its recent review of Eyran’s previous release: "88 Fingers is truly a virtuoso's work. Perhaps Katsenelenbogen is most in league with Art Tatum for this fact: he sets the bar towards which other pianists must strive." Luca Luciano

Born: August 12, 1975

“Masterful Clarinet! Luca is a noted Italian composer and performer who now makes his home in London, having developed an enviable reputation as an instrumental virtuoso around the UK and overseas via recordings and concert hall appearances” (Musicians’ Magazine). Internationally recognized for his ground-breaking contributions to contemporary clarinet music (as a scholar, a composer and a performer), he starts his career at the age of twelve performing at one of the most established halls of his home town Naples and appears on television nationwide live aged twenty-one. Introduced as “the new voice of the clarinet” on the front page of De Klarinet magazine, Luciano receives a Master’s Degree in Italy, is awarded the Fellow status of the Higher Education Academy of Great Britain, and, according to BBC Radio, he is also “one of Europe’s leading exponents of jazz clarinet”. Praised by the International Clarinet Association for his “bold and unique” interpretations, his repertoire also embraces Brahms, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Schumann, Weber including recordings of music by Stravinsky, Berio, Cage, Malcolm Arnold and Poulenc.

Ilaria Capalbo / Stefano Falcone

The collaboration between bassist and composer Ilaria Capalbo and pianist/composer Stefano Falcone is a work in progress, evolving since the pair met during studies and as their careers took shape, bringing Ilaria to Sweden and Stefano to Italy. The duo works on original compositions, co-writing and free improvisation, leading the tiny ensemble towards a distinctive, chamber-like sound that well represents the musicians' respective backgrounds and experiences. With this project, Stefano and Ilaria were featured as Artists In Residence for two years in a row at JazzIt Fest, a yearly event organized by Italy’s most prominent jazz magazine
