Charlie Robinson

Jazz guitarist Charlie Robinson spent his formative years honing his skills while on the road with various Jazz and R&B groups performing at such venues as The Apollo, Regal and Howard theaters (otherwise known as The Chittlin’ Circuit). His experience includes studies with Joanne Brackeen, Charlie Haden, Don Cherry and Cecil Taylor. He has played on recording sessions in New York, Chicago, Nashville and Atlanta. Performances include those with Elvin Jones, Ira Sullivan, Philip Harper, Doug Carn, Alan Eager, Jimmy Scott, Joe Jennings , Sam Rivers and numerous others.
