MUSICIAN Born:

Bruce Menefield

"...Groove is in his heart and horn" Kathy Y. Wilson, Cincinnati City Beat Saxophonist Bruce Menefield is an outstandingly creative musician. He has developed a unique style of playing a variety of musical genres: jazz, gospel, blues, R&B and world music. Menefield has performed professionally for 35 years where his sweet sound has been heard in top venues, churches and concert halls. He has performed with and among some of the best in jazz such as Billy Harper, Clark Terry, Bennie Maupin, Ronnie Laws and John Blake. Bruce is best known for his big bluesy sound, but he has morphed into a highly spirited improviser, able to create new music on the spot and in the height of the moment. Menefield is also a leader and a producer

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded albums and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, limited reopenings and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary step that will help musicians and venues now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the sticky footer ad). Thank you!
