Musician

Brent-Anthony Johnson

Born:

Brent-Anthony "BAJ" Johnson is a session and touring bassist, composer, producer, author, journalist, instructor, clinician and the proprietor of Noisy Tony Music & Publishing. BAJ is currently producing, performing, and recording for Noisy Tony Music & Publishing and other artists. He also leads his own instrumental quartet, Kinetic Maschine. From 2002-2005 he was the co-founder, bassist/producer and band-leader for CrossTones - Live Concert Radio Show and for CrossTone Productions. During the CrossTones era, BAJ recorded and produced 17 full-length live CDs with the artists who appeared as guests on the show. All of BAJ's 6-string basses are tuned from 23.12Hz "so its a 'loooow jammie' thing, baby! How low can you go?" His faithful 4-string acoustic contrabass "Hattie Belle" and his battered, beloved vintage Fender Jazz Bass® "Maxine (Macki) Louise" are tuned standard.
