Conrado Paulino

Style "...is like an effortless blend of Joe Pass and Baden Powell" [Fabio Carrilho, Violão PRO Magazine, Brazil]
The style of guitarist, composer and arranger Conrado Paulino is an original fusion of three major musical schools. The first one embraces the repertoire of Brazilian music, a universe from which his creative basis takes its shape.
The second one reveals itself in a jazzy influence that becomes conspicuous in its harmonically modern concept and its ample room for improvisation on his arrangements.
The last one is the utilization of classical guitar techniques, notably in his use of arpeggios and counter-melodies

Daniela Soledade

Daniela Soledade may initially seem like a fresh name in Brazilian music, but the vocalist’s impact immediately strikes a chord as encountered on her bold and subtle debut album, A Moment of You (2019 Blue Line Music Records). A carefully curated set of Bossa Nova gems (while dodging the most obvious choices), Brazilian-ized standards and original songs, created in partnership with producer/guitarist Nate Najar, the album frames the luminous tone and mature interpretive powers of the singer- singing in both English and Portuguese. Beyond the surface and sensory allure of the musical evidence on the album, a legacy-related back story lends added depth to Soledade’s unfolding musical saga- she belongs to a sparkling lineage of great Brazilian artists, ranging from her grandfather Paulo- collaborator with Antonio Carlos Jobim, Vinícius de Moraes, Baden Powell and other Brazilian legends- and her father Paulinho, who has worked as producer and partner with Ivan Lins and Gilberto Gil

Tuur Moens

Born:

EARLY INFLUENCES

Born in 1985 in Duffel, Belgium, music has been a pervasive presence in Tuur’s upbringing, during which his father, passionate for the blues, played the guitar and drums while his mother was immersed in her love for world music. She would take Tuur as a child to an annual world music festival, Sfinks, where Tuur could admire big names like Ali Farka Touré, Salif Keita, Youssou N’Dour, Mori Kanté, Baba Maal, Goran Bregovic, Buena Vista Social Club, Rubén Gonzáles… Tuur reminisces about laying on the couch as a child, listening to Miles Davis, Bobby Mc Ferrin, Salif Keita, Paul Simon, Gilberto Gil, Tower of Power, Wayne Shorter, and such varied influences. After hitting improvised paper boxes, mother's pans and "Fisher Price" drum sets at the age of 3, and later taking over daddy’s drum set on the attic, Tuur’s formal musical journey began at age 8, when his parents subscribed him for classical percussion at the music academy of Mechelen (BE).
