Beatriz is a highly respected interpreter of Bossa Nova and Samba and has performed and recorded with musical luminaries such as Al Di Meola, Nestor Torres, Toquinho, Chico Buarque, Roberto Menescal, Duduka da Fonseca, Romero Lubambo, jazz pianists Mike Renzi and Mike Orta, saxophonist Harry Allen, bassist Don Wilner and many others. Beatriz received the Brazilian Press Awards as the Best Brazilian Singer Living in the U.S. in 2009 and 2017. Brazilian-born Gabriel Santiago is an award-winning composer, arranger, performer, and music educator. A master of both the acoustic and electric guitar, Santiago has released 14 albums (including CDs & DVDs) and regularly performs solo and accompanied concerts and festivals across the U.S. and around the globe. Filled with passion and culture, his ever-evolving sound represents a dynamic confluence of his classical, jazz and Brazilian roots. Pedro Isea Herrera

Born: October 28, 1971

Pedro Isea is a Venezuelan musician born in Caracas in October 28th 1971 who very early started to make vocal music and play the venezuelan cuatro and percussion for vocal groups in his school and university. He began music studies in 1982 in Padre Sojo music school in Caracas and developed a ten years career singing and making percussion for different choirs.

Since 1994 he studied afro-venezuelan and latin percussion (congas) for five years with the professors Alexander Livinalli (multiple participations), Jesús Paiva (Vasallos del Sol), William Troconis (La Banda Sigilosa, Grupo Maroa, La Platabanda...) and Manuel Moreno (Grupo Herencia) at the Popular Culture School of Bigott Foundation and in the UCV (Universidad Central de Venezuela). In 1995 he founded “Mestizos Ensamble” with the pianist and singer Alicia Dávila recording 6 tracks which were showed in radio and TV programs. In that year he studied Jazz history and vocal percussion.

Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Abdallah Harati grew up in São José dos Campos and since 2015, is established in Munich, Germany. At home, there wasn’t a single day that passed without the radio on or his mom singing. With his grandparents addicted to the traditional Brazilian music, he couldn’t escape. Uncles and cousins, some amateurs, other professional musicians, music quality was always a must. He started learning music since childhood. Flute, piano and finally the guitar. He has completed classical guitar studies, however the home influence of Choro, Seresta and Samba was very strong

Angela Turone & Chris Platt

Angela Turone and Chris Platt are Canadian musicians that have been collaborating since 2014. Angela and Chris met in their hometown, Toronto, while completing their studies in the jazz performance program at the University of Toronto. There, they discovered a common love and appreciation for Brazilian music and came together as an ensemble. With Angela on vocals and piano and Chris on guitar, they seek to explore the diverse and beautiful music of Brazil, performing their creative interpretations of repertoire from the bossa nova, samba and jazz genres. Their 2020, FACTOR-funded album Sounds of Brazil is a reflection of Angela and Chris’ deep interest in Brazilian music and how it intertwines with their jazz roots

Mary Amaral is a Brazilian singer songwriter whose work is composed of her influences, mainly classic jazz songs and R& B, combined in an original way with elements she received from Tom Jobim's Bossa Nova, João Gilberto and guitarrist Baden Powell's Afro Sambas with Vinícius de Moraes, among other Brazilian Classics. Mary is also a composer /lyricist, and is releasing her Ep of Brazilian Jazz, called Delineio. Dina Blade

Dina Blade is a singer with a relaxed sense of time and swing who spent her early childhood watching old cartoons with jazz soundtracks and has been enthralled with the music ever since. An effervescent performer with a devotion to the timeless songs from the 1930s and 40s Great American Songbook, Dina has has graced stages in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Cuba and Brazil. As an American jazz vocalist, Dina’s recording of “Indian Summer” is regularly featured on Nationally Syndicated Music Choice Radio. Herself a dancer, Dina’s most recent cd was recorded for dancers with her quintet Swingin’ in the Rain and includes fresh interpretations of swinging classics like the title track “Shall We Dance”, “Night and Day”, “The Best Things Happen While You’re Dancing” and other great songs. In addition to her skills as a vocalist, Dina is also an accomplished guitarist and tap & swing dancer

Matt Finley

Born: August 17, 1951

A professional musician for over fifty-five years, multi-instrumentalist Matt Finley is a native of Lake George, New York. He graduated from Union College, where he led a combined Union/SUNY Albany/RPI Jazz Workshop to a semi-final appearance at the American College Jazz Festival and received honorable mention in the New York Times. Matt earned his master's degree from the College of Saint Rose and is permanently certified to teach music in New York State. He performed for many years with Grammy-winning baritone saxophonist Nick Brignola and was a featured trumpet soloist and arranger with the Albany Jazz Workshop
