Nashville born, Pittsburgh raised Anton DeFade has established himself as one of the most in demand bassists in the Pittsburgh area and beyond. He is a full time member of the soul/rock band, The Commonheart, and when he's not touring the country with them he splits his time writing, arranging, and freelancing in his hometown of Pittsburgh. As a child, Anton was introduced to many different styles of music by following his dad, Ray DeFade Jr., around to his gigs from loud rock concerts to intimate jazz performances. His musical versatility in both upright and electric bass led him to be one of the most requested bass players in Mexico City, touring extensively through Mexico in jazz venues and renowned International Festivals like “Riviera Maya Jazz Fest,” “Festival Internacional Cervantino” and “Vive Latino” to name a few. Benjamín has also toured in Spain, Colombia and Costa Rica.

Alex Wing is a guitarist, bassist, oud player and creative musician living in Chicago. In addition to leading his own groups (Alex Wing Group, People In Trouble) He has played with Nicole Mitchell, David Boykin, Shanta Nurullah, Magic Carpet, Wanees Zarour, Hanah Jon Taylor, Douglas Ewart, Avreeayl Ra, Issa Boulos, Jeff Marx, Saalik Ziyad, and many more. Wing is a co-founder of Sonic Healing Ministries (with David Boykin, Nicole Mitchell, Joel Wanek, Ben Boye, Jayve Montgomery and Dan Godston), which has run a free improvisation jam session on the south side of Chicago on and off for almost 20 years.

Mike Bullock is a bassist, composer, improviser, visual artist, and writer based in Western Massachusetts. Bullock has been performing since the mid 90s at venues across the US and in Europe, including Fylkingen in Stockholm, Sweden; Instants Chavirés in Paris; Café OTO in London; Experimental Intermedia and ISSUE Project Room in New York City; The Philadelphia Museum of Art; and EMPAC in Troy, NY. In June 2015, Bullock received a Performance Grant from the Pew Center for Arts and Heritage. Dion Kerr

Dion Kerr is a forward-thinking multi-dimensional artist (multi-instrumentalist, producer, arranger, songwriter, photographer, and videographer) born and raised in South Florida.  Kerr’s work reflects a broad range of influences and mediums.  He has toured and recorded worldwide as a leader and a sideman to various groups spanning multiple genres.

Dion can be seen at some of the most renowned festivals, venues, studios, and galleries with many great young and upcoming artists of all art forms.  Kerr has shared the stage with Ignacio Berroa, Nicholas Payton, Marcus Strickland, Etienne Charles, Lillias White, Godwin Louis, Jean Caze, Immanuel Wilkins, Justin Brown, and Tivon Pennicott.  Dion is the co-founder of the band ‘The Smoogies.’ They released their debut album ‘Planet Smoogies’ with trumpeter Nicholas Payton and just released their second full-length album ‘People Music’ alongside completing a national tour funded by South Arts for their grant-winning proposal.  Dion was the engineer and co-producer of Seafoam Walls record ‘XVI’; he also played guitar in the live incarnation, released on Thurston Moore’s label ‘Ecstatic Peace Library,’ which was recorded and produced all in his home studio.  Dion is also credited as a songwriter and arranger for Jessica Tonder’s ‘A Rise Of Peace’ feature with Nowness. He is also a key member in many other highly sought-after bands in South Florida and New York art scenes.
