de Valk

Born:

After having been a semi-professional musician for twenty years, I became a journalist/writer in Holland. Some of my books have been available in the US too and got rave reviews. (Info: www.jeroendevalk.nl) Two years ago - my kids having grown up - I returned to playing parttime. I work mostly with a band called Dutch Treat, feat. singer Nynke Geertsma, who sings her own lyrics to my (and other's) songs. We're preparing the recording of our second cd now, with some great guest soloists. On my site, you'll find some clips of the band with Eef Albers, a local guitar king. He's dynamite.

About Lee Whalen

Musician

Lee Whalen

Born:

For the past ten years, Lee Whalen has built a successful recording and performing career as a bassist on the music scene in Boston and surrounding areas. Although originally trained as a jazz musician, throughout the years he has played in theater orchestras, rock bands, R&B and blues groups, straight-ahead jazz and fusion ensembles, country and country-western bands, Cajun/Zydeco bands, and even Klezmer and gypsy-jazz ensembles. Equally at home in front of an audience or on a recording session, Lee knows that each booking is an important job, not an ego trip: "My role is to make you sound great, whether its in the studio or on stage". When not working as a sideman, tracking in the studio, or playing more wedding dates than any one man should be allowed, Lee can be found onstage with his jazz band The Sleepless Knights or the fantastically-funky Soulphonic
