His parents went to college there with David Letterman. He grew up in Bloomington. Not far from there is a town called Raccoon, and another one called Needmore. He went to Berklee College of Music in Boston, mostly to get the hell out of Indiana. He played a lot of music there

He has performed and/or recorded with a diverse group of world renowned musicians that includes Marc Copland, Larry Willis, Sid Simmons, Benito Gonzalez, Warren Wolf, Buddy Wachter, Paul Bollenback, Yotam Silberstein, Marin Alsop, Jamie Laredo, Alex Norris, Byron Landham, Ralph Peterson, and Gary Thomas. He has received several awards and grants, most recently the 2012 Individual Artist Award for non-classical composition from the Maryland State Arts Council for his upcoming debut album, Septagon

Eric Schreiber is a Philadelphia area based musician and composer. He currently performs regularly in numerous jazz, rock, and classical ensembles … and has released several CDs and DVDs in various styles. Most notably, Eric is currently a member of ‘The Chuck Anderson Trio’; which has been featured worldwide on numerous jazz radio stations, television, and jazz magazines … with ‘The Nerve’; which has been featured on 93.7 WSTW and other local programming … and with ‘Shades of Silver’; a diverse event band performing music from the 40’s through today. Eric has also worked as a freelance studio bassist with numerous artists and composers; covering a variety of musical styles and situations (rock, jazz, country, commercial jingles, television themes, etc). Eric has had the privilege to study bass performance and theory with world renowned bassist, John Patitucci (Chick Corea Elektric Band, Wayne Shorter, etc) and local jazz great, guitarist Chuck Anderson

Harish Raghavan

After arriving in New York in 2007, bassist Harish Raghavan has begun to make a name for himself among the rising stars of his generation.

Raghavan has played/toured with Kurt Elling, Taylor Eigsti, Vijay Iyer, Ambrose Akinmusire, Eric Harland, Mark Turner, Aaron Parks, Greg Osby, Billy Childs, Benny Green, Geoffry Keezer, Terrell Stafford, Mike Moreno, Rodney Green, Logan Richardson, Fabian Almazan, Justin Brown, Dayna Stephens, Julian Lage, Gerald Clayton, Marcus Gilmore, Walter Smith III, among others.

Raghavan grew up in Northbrook, Illinois, just north of Chicago. At age eight he began studying Western and Indian percussion, and later switched to the double bass at seventeen. He studied bass with John Clayton at the University of Southern California and also with Robert Hurst. During his years in Los Angeles he recorded and played with many legendary West Coast musicians.

One of the most active musicians in Western Canada, double bassist Kodi Hutchinson is a man who wears many hats. As well as running his own musical group the Hutchinson Andrew Trio, CKUA radio show “A Time For Jazz”, and record label Chronograph Records, Kodi is a sought after producer and sideman on both double bass and electric bass Described by those who know him as creative, introspective and just a happy-go-lucky guy, Kodi started his career in jazz while attending University in Canada and through the renowned Banff Centre Jazz Programs. Since those early beginnings, Kodi has established himself as on of the top call bassists in Alberta

John Wiitala

John Wiitala has worked with some of the greatest names in jazz, including Joe Henderson, Junior Cook, Charlie Rouse, James Moody, Bud Shank, and Cecil Payne. He has toured with Richie Cole, Arturo Sandoval, Shorty Rogers, and Jessica Williams, and has played at jazz festivals around the world, including Monterey, North Sea, Montreux, Detriot, and JVC/Concord. His recording credits include work with Scott Hamilton, Jessica Williams, Mark Levine, as well as Anton Schwartz.
