Julie Slick

Julie Slick began playing bass at eleven years of age. In 1998, at age twelve, she joined the Paul Green School of Rock Music, and soon became the school’s first All-Star bassist. This led to an appearance in the award winning documentary, Rock School, as well as a role in several tracks on the movie’s soundtrack. By age sixteen, she had already performed across America and Europe with legendary musicians like Frank Zappa alumni Ike Willis and Napoleon Murphy Brock, Jon Anderson of Yes, Stewart Copeland of the Police, Ann Wilson of Heart, and Alice Cooper. Mikko Pellinen

Born: May 5, 1983

Mikko Pellinen is part of the new generation of jazz in Finland. He started his music studies with electric bass at age of ten. Soon after he became more and more interested in writing music and began to study composing. After high school he continued his studies in the pop & jazz department of Helsinki Polytechnic school Stadia, graduating in 2008. At the time he is doing his Master's degree at the Sibelius-Academy Jazz Music Department, majoring in jazz composition. His composing teachers include Kari "Sonny" Heinilä and Jere Laukkanen among others. He has studied electric and double bass with for example Hannu Rantanen, Ari-Pekka Anttila, Ulf Krokfors and Ville Herrala. As a composer his main focus is on his own group Mikko Pellinen Mini Big Band

Yunior Terry

Born in Camaguey, Cuba, bassist, violinist, and composer Yunior Terry is part of one of Cuba's most gifted musical families. Following his father and two older brothers Yosvany and Yoel, he began his musical training at the age of seven. He grew up surrounded by the music of Afro-Cuban religious traditions and learned to play the chekeré from his father Don Pancho, the undisputed master of the instrument. Yunior graduated from the prestigious National School of Art (ENA) with a double major in bass and violin. While in Cuba, he played violin with the Cuban National Symphony and bass with folkloric and Latin jazz groups. Yunior moved to the United States to continue his musical studies at CalArts in Los Angeles, graduating in 2002 with honors

Tal Wilkenfeld is a musical marvel; the kind of dynamic young talent whose fresh vision and uncanny intuition puts a whole new perspective on an age-old art form. Like a muse-lit meteor, Tal blazed onto the music scene as a teen, sitting in with the Allman Brothers within months of her 2006 arrival in New York City. By the end of 2007, she had released her acclaimed, instrumental debut, Transformation, and hit the road with Chick Corea. Tal went on to appear on A&E with Herbie Hancock and Wayne Shorter, then joined Jeff Beck’s world tour for what culminated in her global breakout moment
