Jonathan Richards
Jonathan Richards is a bassist, composer, and music teacher living in Los Angeles. He performs a wide range of musical genres and has had the privilege of working with an array of artists including Joe LaBarbera, Terell Stafford, Jeff Clayton, Peter Erskine, Eric Reed, Van Hunt, JR Rotem, and Postmodern Jukebox. Jonathan is a graduate of the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California. At USC he studied privately with bass virtuoso Nico Abondolo and jazz legend John Clayton. I've also studied jazz extensively with Cecil McBee, Fred Hersch, and Eric Kloss. Davide began to play the electric bass around the age of fourteen. Some years later he met jazz music and he was flashed while listening to Scott La Faro. Self-taught, he began to study the double bass. In these years he has had an intense live concerts activity in numerous Italian jazz festivals such as Clusone and Iseo Jazz Festival, Piacenza Jazz Festival, Avigliana Jazz Festival….and in foreign countries like Czech Republic, Bosnia, Swiss, France. Arjen Gorter
Arjen Gorter (2 januari 1948, Amsterdam, The Netherlands) played accordeon at age 8, guitar at 12 and double bass from age 16. He is self-taught, but for a few months of classical bass lessons and some semesters of weekly jazz workshops with Theo Loevendie and Nedly Elstak. He graduated from the Barlaeus Gymnasium and studied political science and sociology at the University of Amsterdam, until becoming a full-time musician in early 1970.
