Born and raised in Wellington, New Zealand, Benjamin J. Shepherd started playing bass when he was 7 years old. 11 years later he moved to Los Angeles to study at the California Institute of Arts (CalArts) under the watchful eye of Bass heavy weights Charlie Haden, Alphonso Johnson and Darek Oles. Since finishing up at Calarts Benjamin has become one of the busiest and most in demand Bassists in Los Angeles. He has worked on stage and in the studio with artists such as David Archuleta, Lee Ritenour, Mike Keneally, Mike Stern, Billy Childs, Patrice Rushen, Bob Sheppard, John Beasley, The Monk'estra, Virgil Donati, Hadrien Feraud, Chance The Rapper, School Boy Q, Mark de Clive-Lowe, Miguel Atwood Ferguson and many more

Spain was founded in Los Angeles by Josh Haden (son of bass-playing jazz great Charlie Haden). Their debut, The Blue Moods Of Spain was released in 1995. The band garnered a devoted cult following and they toured the U.S., Europe, and Australia. They performed on French TV, and opened for Cocteau Twins during their final U.S. tour. Spain’s song “Spiritual” was recorded by Johnny Cash on his Grammy-winning, Rick Rubin-produced Unchained, and by Charlie Haden and Pat Metheny on their Grammy-winning Beyond The Missouri Sky. Spain’s 1999 sophomore CD, She Haunts My Dreams, found the band headlining large venues across Europe

Claudio Ottaviano (born July 12, 1985) is an italian double bass player and composer. Native from Sicily, he's now based in Milan, where he works mostly as sideman musician. In 2013 Claudio released "Notturno", his debut album, with Tino Tracanna and Michele Franzini. In 2014 He performed around Europe with Sugarpie And The Candymen. In 2015 Claudio released "Aurora", recorded with Antonio Zambrini on piano, Tino Tracanna on saxes, Roberto Paglieri on drums and Claudio on double bass.

Argentinean Bassist and Composer Luis Lascano was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He has been immersed in the arts since his earliest years. In his beginnings as a musician, he took Electric Bass lessons with Carlos “Machi” Rufino, and he developed in different styles as Jazz, Classical, Rock, Funk and Tango. He also studied Jazz Harmony with Jorge Navarro, Guillermo Romero and Juan Cruz de Urquiza. Invited to attend to Berklee College of Music on a scholarship, he moved to Boston in 2008, to pursue his studies in Composition, Arranging and Orchestration. At this prestigious school, he studied with Sheldon Mirowitz, Jon Klein, Joe Smith, Dennis Leclaire, Bob Pilkington and David Callahan

Seth Myers

Seth Myers is a bassist from Philadelphia. He studied jazz music at SUNY Purchase (Dennis Irwin, Kermit Driscoll, Todd Coolman) from 1999-2003 and then moved to uptown Manhattan where he is currently based. Through connections made in school, Seth became part of a vast and varied network of musicians. He has worked with many groups including swing bands: Sly Blue, Mudbucket Monkeys, Tamar Korn, Matthew Piazzi and the Debonairs, Nick Palumbo, and James Zeller Trio. Gospel Crossover sensations: The Altino Brothers. South American fusion: Dilemastronauta. Currently, Seth Myers is developing his own trio featuring a great collective of NYC musicians

Born in Montreal in 1986, Frederic begins his musical apprenticeship at age 15 when he discovers the electric bass as an autodidact. In 2005, he attends the CEGEP in Drummondville in music. It is at that time that he decides to learn the upright bass with Guy Boisvert, Daniel Lessard, Gilbert Fleury and Réal Montminy as teachers. Also he had the opportunity of playing with some of his teachers professionally regularly such as Francois Bourassa, Camil Bélisle, Billy Bouffard, Denis Mailloux, and Daniel Lessard. The Brad Hittle Trio is comprised of three veteran performers heavily influenced by the music of Bill Evans, Dave Brubeck, the Modern Jazz Quartet and the classic piano-guitar-bass trios from the Art Tatum Trio, to the King Cole Trio to the Oscar Peterson Trio, the Ahmad Jamal Trio and the Diana Krall Trio. The BHT performs an eclectic songbook ranging from Ellington to Evans, from Joabim to Monk, including some fine vocals and with some original material as well. This is CLASSIC.
