Anne Mette Iversen

Danish bassist Anne Mette Iversen arrived in New York City in 1998, where she produced much of her contemporary work, using the organic staccato beats of her adopted city as inspiration. The summer of 2012 she relocated to Berlin, which provides other outlets for jazz musicians and new opportunities. Ms. Iversen has 10 (ten) releases out as a band-leader, including one as composer and artistic director for Norrbotten Big Band; and three of which are double albums. She tours regularly in Europe and the US, with performances at esteemed clubs and jazz festivals. She leads her long running jazz quartet: 'Anne Mette Iversen Quartet' which in recent years has evolved into a quintet: Anne Mette Iversen Quartet+1, the Berlin based group Ternion QuartetDouble Life - a collaboration between her 'Quartet+1' and 4Corners string quartet and the Poetry of Earth project. She has worked extensively as sideman and performed with world class musicians in and out of New York City and Berlin. She has curated and performed for the Royal Danish Embassy in Washington DC and for The Danish Consulate General in NYC. For 2016 Ms. Iversen was Composer in Residence for the great Norrbotten Big Band (S).

Martin Wind

Born:

Bassist and composer Martin Wind was born in Flensburg, Germany in 1968 and moved to New York in 1996 to study at New York University (NYU) with a scholarship by the German Academic Exchange Service. In 1995 he earned himself a diploma as Orchestra Musician at the Music Conservatory in Cologne, Germany while studying with Prof. Wolfgang Guettler, former bassist with the Berlin Philharmonics. In 1998 he earned his Master's degree in Jazz Performance and Composition studying with Mike Richmond, Jim McNeely, Tom Boras, Mike Holober and Kenny Werner. Since his move to New York Martin has become a regular at all major jazz clubs and is also in demand as a session player; his credits include movies such as "The Alamo", "Intolerable Cruelty", " Mona Lisa Smiles", "Fur", "True Grit" and "The Adventures of Walter Mitty". In 1995 Martin came in third at the International Thelonious Monk Bass Competition in Washington, D.C. In 1996 Martin Wind won the first Cognac Hennessy/Blue Note Jazz Search in Germany with his trio "Dreikland" and got to record an album for Blue Note Records. In 2000 he was the first Jazz musician to win the Cultural Award of his home state Schleswig-Holstein. Martin has released about 10 albums so far as leader/co-leader including his debut album "Gone with the Wind" (1993), "Tender Waves" (1996), "Dreiklang"(1997), "Family" (1999), "The Soccerball" (2002), "Salt & Pepper" (2007), "Get it?"(2009), "Theresia"(2010) and "MWQuartet - Live at JazzBaltica"(DVD). In 2014 Martin released the album "Turn out the Stars - music written or inspired by Bill Evans" on his newly founded "What if Music" Record Label

Neal Miner

Neal Miner was introduced to the world of jazz by his first teacher – his father Bill Miner, a respected jazz record collector and discographer. Bill's love of jazz kindled a passion in his son from an early age. Bill shared the music of his vast record collection, took Neal to clubs and concerts, and ensured he received the best musical instruction. Born and raised in Manhattan, Neal received his high school diploma from the Interlochen Arts Academy, and attended the Manhattan School of Music. Most notable of his private teachers were classical bassist, Orin O’Brien of the New York Philharmonic, and jazz bassist, John Webber. Since the age of 19, Neal has been a solid fixture on the New York City jazz scene and is a favored bassist to a host of musicians, both rising jazz stars (Larry Goldings, Harry Allen, Russell Malone, Peter Bernstein, David Hazeltine, Dena DeRose, Ann Hampton Callaway, Loston Harris), and jazz legends (James Moody, Frank Wess, David Allyn, Eddie Locke, Etta Jones, Bob Dorough, Warren Vaché)

Cleve Eaton began the study of music when he was only five years old. Ten years later he had mastered the piano, trumpet, and saxophone. When a teacher allowed him to take a bass home for practice, Eaton spent nearly every waking hour learning the instrument. He became what many call one of the best Jazz bassists in the business. Cleveland made a name for himself as a composer, producer, and arranger. Eaton left his birthplace behind and moved to Chicago, Illinois. He soon began recording with the Ramsey Lewis Trio

Niccolò Faraci

Born:

Niccolo' Faraci, plays double bass and composes music since the end of '90s. He was born near Milano in 1979, and joined many improvising groups in Europe and Swiss as co-leader. He played in different Jazz and Contemporary Music Festivals like Montreux, Pescara, Chieti, Petrovac, AMR and CHORUS, Blue Note, Siena Masterclasses and a Chinese tour during 2008. He is now working on something special: his own different music based only on his personality. He is father of little Shiva and lives with a girl named Marilena. Niccolo' works for a better tomorrow made of pure emotions.
