Jose Rizo
Jose Rizo's "Jazz on the Latin Side All Stars" is a 15-piece all-star ensemble made up of legendary figures, world-class studio musicians, great jazz artists, and popular bandleaders. This tight ensemble was formed a few months after a big jam session at B. B. Kings on the Universal City Walk in the Los Angeles area. The "Jazz on the Latin Side All Stars" proudly represent KJazz where ever they perform. This versatile ensemble feels as comfortable playing progressive latin jazz as it does playing tremendous salsa dura. Ensemble members and rotating members include Justo Almario (tenor sax), Marvin "Smitty" Smith (drums), Danilo Lozano (flute / musical director), Francisco Aguabella (congas), Poncho Sanchez (congas), Alex Acuna (drums), Freddie Crespo (lead vocals / timbales), Francisco Torres (trombone / prime arranger), Rene Camacho (bass), Bijon Watson (trumpet), Sal Cracchiolo (trumpet), Robert Incelli (alto sax), Scott Martin (baritone sax), Gilbert Castellanos (trumpet), Eric Jorgensen (trombone), Joey De Leon (congas), Alfredo Ortiz (bongo / vocals), Andy Martin (trombone), Jimmy Branly (timbales), Joe Rotondi (piano),and Luis Eric Gonzalez (trumpet). Industrious Noise
Industrious Noise is a Boston-based creative music ensemble featuring saxophonist Chris Veilleux, guitarist Phil Sargent and drummer Mike Connors. Together they creatively blur the lines between composition and free improvisation with original compositions that draw from a variety of influences, most prominently the odd meters and Eastern tonalities of ethnic Balkan music, modern jazz and rock.
The group, whose members also collaborate in ensembles such as trumpeter Jerry Sabatini's Sonic Explorers, performs regularly in the Boston area, and released its debut CD, Trio (Creative Nation Music) in 2005, inspiring critics to write, "The small band generates an impressive cinematic sweep with its music" (Scott McLennan, Worcester Telegram and Gazette) and "Trio provides plenty of new material that stretches the boundaries of the jazz genre" (Edward Blanco, ejazznews.com).

Open Music Ensemble
The Ensemble is an improvisational, spontaneous-music cooperative, designed to encourage musicians to allow the music they create to come through them rather than be made by them. Most of the notes, rhythms, and sounds in an Ensemble performance are intuitively created by the Ensemble members during the performance as they listen to each other and permit themselves to respond spontaneously to what they hear. By thus standing out of the way, the Ensemble's sounds and rhythms move to a deeper level and offer the listener a more profound musical experience. We call this way of performing "Open Music". An Open Music Ensemble performance is not only improvised but it is often structured in advance specifically for the occasion or location

Twangorama
If you consider yourself a New Orleans music fan, you may find yourself in love with a never- ending web of music that entangles many genres and recordings over the last several decades produced by an unparalleled collection of musicians. The whole of this is what truly defines New Orleans music. You also likely know that by its relatively small size, New Orleans has this enormous music scene that expands well beyond the walls of Preservation Hall and Tipitina’s. And just when you think you’ve heard all there is to hear in original New Orleans music, you almost crave to be surprised by something so special it knocks you down, like the restaurant off the beaten path that had the killing gumbo you weren’t expecting. It was under your nose the whole time you’ve been living here. And it’s part of New Orleans. Hardcore Woodenhead fans are well aware of New Orleans-born guitarist Jimmy Robinson. An unmatchable force on the guitar, Jimmy has been blowing the minds of audiences and players alike since he formed Woodenhead in 1975. A truly progressive fusion-rock band in a city that is anything but, the catalog and longevity of this group speaks volumes of Robinson and company’s dedication to the music they believe in and love. In the late 1990’s Robinson took many of the ingredients of Woodenhead (including longtime members Paul Clement and Mark Whitaker) and formed the guitar collective called Twangorama. Combined with longtime friend Cranston Clements (arguably the most sought-after New Orleans guitarist in the last 30 years, w/ Dr. John, Stanton Moore,Boz Skaggs, George Porter, Jr., Maria Muldaur and more) and Phil deGruy, (a deeply talented individual, primarily a solo guitarist for years earning accolades and praise from guitar luminaries like Steve Vai, Larry Coryell and Danny Gatton) this progressive guitar powerhouse fuels original and existing material to soaring new heights with the compositional and arranging talents of everyone on board. The results are in your hand as a brilliantly crafted, enlightening and awe-inspiring collection of jewels. They single-handedly rewrite the book on what New Orleans guitar is today. And the New Orleans connection, while not in your face, is undeniable. All members of Twangorama were born and bred in New Orleans, and it is bands like Twangorama that are one of those critical ingredients that make the musical gumbo of New Orleans so good and so unique. ...enjoy it, for it’s been right under our noses the whole time.

Atlantis Quartet
Atlantis Quartet formed in 2006 and has emerged as one of the premier modern jazz groups in the twin cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. The group consists of four of Minnesota's most exciting jazz artists who have come together to create and explore fresh and original sounds on the modern edges of the jazz idiom. Dwight Hobbes of Pulse of the Twin Cities credits Atlantis Quartet with "strong compositions and insanely serious chops" while the Dakota Jazz Club refers to the band as "One of the most exciting bands in town, this group tackles complex, catchy originals with ease". In its relatively short existence, the quartet has performed many of the area's top jazz venues, including the Dakota, Artists' Quarter, Cedar Culural Center, Clown Lounge, and more, and has even brought its lively jazz sound into rock clubs such as the Uptown Bar, 331 Club and Bunkers

Us3
Us3 is the brainchild of London-based producer Geoff Wilkinson. Formed in 1992, alongside production partner Mel Simpson, Us3 rose from the ashes of 2 previous incarnations. The first was a limited edition white label 12” release in 1990 called “Where Will We Be In The 21st Century” featuring rapper MC Honey B and jazz pianist Jessica Lauren. This brought the attention of a (then) fledgling indie label, Ninjatune, and the result was NW1’s 1991 12” “The Band Played The Boogie”. By sampling one of the biggest dancefloor tunes of the burgeoning jazz dance scene, Geoff had unknowingly started a chain reaction. The tune he sampled was Grant Green’s “Sookie Sookie”, originally released on Blue Note Records.
