Alaska Dreamers

Alaska Dreamers music is soft mixture between soul, blues, R&B, post-rock, jazz, folk. Band musical journey started in 2012 as a creative experiment between bass player, composer Reinis Ozolins and drummer Rudolfs Dankfelds. After a while they felt like adding more colours and the duo became a trio as singer Kristine Praulina joined. So step by step the band grew to the current lineup. Here, meeting within the great personalities that make up the musical sound of the message together, and that helps it to resound in great contact with the audience.. In April 2015 the first concert took place and the group continued touring, write music and begins to gradually work on the debut album. HoTS

The HoTS quintet from the very beginning has been developing its own sound, drawing on the European tradition of modern jazz and searching for the new voice of jazz music in Poland. This band is the fruit of artistic friendship and common musical imagination of five musicians who come form different music backgrounds - jazz, classic, improv. This influences meet and intertwine in different ways in their music. The title of their first album: „Harmony of the Spheres” (V Records 2015) refers, just as its acronym in the name of the band, to the Pythagorean harmony of celestial bodies

Tyrant Lizard

Tyrant Lizard is Ray Larsen (trumpet), Gregg Belisle- Chi (guitar), and Carmen Rothwell (bass). Having shared the bandstand in assorted ensembles over the years, the trio formed in early 2014 with a common interest in playing original compositions and American folk music. The band's name is a tribute to the reptilian creatures of the Cretaceous Period (circa 68-66 million years ago.)

Hard Proof

The Austin-based ten-piece collective of musicians known as Hard Proof began by studying the blueprint of Fela Kuti’s Africa 70 band, as well as funk and jazz from the whole of sub-Saharan Africa. Founded in 2008, Hard Proof features members of Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears, The Calm Blue Sea, Cougar, Ocote Soul Sounds, Spanish Gold, and several other notable Austin acts. While their self-titled album was well received on its 2010 release, there seems to be universal agreement that their live shows are something not to be missed. Austin taste-maker Laurie Gallardo of KUTX radio may have put it best: "This local nine-piece ensemble always puts on an electrifying live show, an absolute blowout of non-stop percussion action and blasting brass, bringing the best of both worlds to the stage by mixing classic styles and plenty of their personal panache to own the show." As if they weren’t busy enough between Hard Proof and their other bands, the Hard Proof Horns have found work as sidemen with such notables as Spoon, Antibalas, Gary Clark Jr., Spanish Gold, Broken Social Scene, the Walkmen, Dave Matthews Band, Band of Horses and others. In 2013, Hard Proof released their first vinyl, partnering with Canada's Kept Records for the Dragon/Tere 45 that they tracked with Adrian Quesada of Grupo Fantasma and Brownout

Julie Tippetts is one of the foremost European vocalists in the field of contemporary jazz and improvised music. Her recording and performing career has taken her from the early years of soul/jazz/R&B with Brian Auger in the 1960s to working with some of the world’s leading improvising musicians today. Julie’s extended use of the voice as an instrument has led her to develop a vocal technique beyond the boundaries of a conventional singer. During the 1970s she explored the range of vocal possibilities in groups such as the Spontaneous Music Ensemble, Centipede, Ovary Lodge, Voice and the Ark

JazzTones

The JazzTones sextet plays mainstream jazz in the styles of the '50s and '60s. Behind the sultry vocals of Alice Brower, the JazzTones cover tunes ranging from standards, to swing, blues, latin and bebop. Its members come from the greater Hillsborough, North Carolina area. The JazzTones are available to play at parties, restaurants and other special events in various formats from trio to sextet.
