Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox

Ever since I was in middle school, I knew I was something of an old soul. While my friends listened to ’90s pop hits, I listened to old jazz and Motown records and spent hours upon hours attempting to figure out their inner workings on the piano. Listening to these records truly transported me — I appreciated the creativity, skill, and — above all — natural talent that went into their creation. Years later, as a musician living in New York City, I formed Postmodern Jukebox as way to bring the classic sounds I loved back into the mainstream, and to build a platform to celebrate real, unadulterated, deserving talent. Today, it’s been five years since Postmodern Jukebox performed its first show, and our family has grown to include nearly fifty singers and another fifty instrumentalists, all of whom now have the opportunity to perform the classic genres they love for the audiences who appreciate them

The Keystone Jazz Collective is a collaboration of jazz artists, based in the state of Pennsylvania, coming together to bring to light the historical and contemporary contributions to jazz music by Pennsylvanians. Pennsylvania has birthed and nurtured many composers, musicians and bandleaders. These artists play a significant role in america’s jazz history. The Keystone Collective is a state wide, multi-generational ensemble that honors the past, plays in the present and creates for the future. The mission of the keystone jazz collective is to entertain, enrich and educate through performances and workshops throughout the state and region. Ceramic Dog

Marc Ribot is one of the most versatile guitarists on the New York jazz and avant-garde scene; he has worked together with such different musicians as Tom Waits und John Zorn, Marianne Faithfull and McCoy Tyner. In 2008 Ribot founded his band Ceramic Dog, an explosive power trio with a noisy, rough-edged sound that is a little reminiscent of early Sonic Youth, but can also sound nuanced and contemplative. Ceramic Dog plays music that is essentially a strictly organised chaos of harsh guitar riffs and stoical, complex funk rhythms, coupled with political commentaries and absurd humour.

Pulsing from the nerve center of Jellowstone Studios in Richmond VA, Butcher Brown takes careful note of the history and legacy of jazz and throws caution to the wind with wanton abandon. Garage punk jazz funk on the low end of the dial gives way to delicate and elegant compositions as the band shows off without trying. These are not just players, these are musicians.

Animalistic & Oriental Groove Jazz They say that long time ago animals could speak. In case you didn't know they still can and they do it non stop! They are also talking to us, human beings, but we were used to understand them much better in the past. Echoes Of Zoo reflects and amplifies their message of revolt, protest and struggle for survival by translating their animal language into human sounds: instrumental music with a psychedelic message, free for everybody to decipher. Esinam

Multi-instrumentalist Esinam recalls the spirit of her Ghanaian roots in a ballet of instruments slightly sustained by almost invisible loop machines. Born in Brussels, she finds inspiration in her journeys all over the world and encounters with different cultures. In her solo set, she uses electronic machines and turns into a « one-woman band».She composes, plays and performs her own contemporary music with flute, percussions, vocals as well as traditional and modern instruments. Both her sensitivity and her personal way of merging different genres together do create, color and uplift Esinam’s musical universe

Lynn Cassiers Imaginary Band

The septet consisting of Lynn Cassiers (compositions, voice, electronics), Sylvain Debaisieux (soprano & tenor saxophone), Ananta Roossens (violin), Niels Van Heertum (euphonium), Erik Vermeulen (piano), Manolo Cabras (double bass) & Marek Patrman (drums) will present its debut record ‘Imaginary Band’ in April-May 2018. Cassiers’ compositions are dynamic, free, vulnerable and musing. With her dreamy voice and electronic manipulations, Lynn Cassiers knows exactly how to take the audience with her to her own unique & personal universe
