Andrew Hoglund

Born in Portland, Oregon, Andrew started playing piano at the age of five. At the age of 12 his musical talents were recognized by the leadership at his church and he was encouraged to play trumpet in the church band. After many musical recognitions and an opportunity to perform with Mercer Ellington in high school he went on to attend the University of Oregon to study Trumpet Performance with an emphasis in Jazz Studies . He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in 2001 and was awarded outstanding Jazz Soloist at the Reno Jazz Festival during his time there. After graduating, Andrew embarked on his career as a freelance musician and composer
