MUSICIAN Born:

Andreas Stensland Løwe

Born and raised on Hedrum Prestegard, Norway, a farm wedged halfway between Larvik and Sandefjord. Master degree in Improvisation and Composition from The University in Agder, Norway. A pianist first and foremost, but contributes with various electronics in several constellations (such as Lama, Post and Pilcrow). My main project is the trio Splashgirl, for whom I provide a fair share of compositions and play the piano, acoustic guitar and a Casio SK-5. I live in Oslo, working as a freelance musician, and I am involved in the following projects, playing either piano, electronics, guitar, keyboards or a combination of the above: Splashgirl, Lama, Post, Fym!, Pilcrow, xTet Project, L/W and Luddekram (solo project).

All About Jazz needs your support

All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
