Andrea Ventriglia, tenor, alto saxofonista e flautista, nato a Capua (ce) il 29 aprile 1953, ha studiato il saxofono con i maestri Franco Florio a Salerno ed Eraclio Sallustio presso il Conservatorio G.B. Martini di Bologna, successivamente il flauto traverso con il Maestro Aldo Ferrantini. La sua carriera professionale inizia, ancora studente di musica, verso la fine degli anni '60, seguendo il Rhythm & Blues e Soul di James Brown, Wilson Pickett, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles e Joe Cocker di moda in quell'epoca e ancora oggi. Giovanissimo, ha avuto l'onore di far parte delle migliori e grandi orchestre con le quali ha accompagnato cantanti ed attori definiti ormai "Mostri Sacri" della canzone, del teatro partenopeo e del cinema italiano quali : Nino Taranto, Alighiero Noschese, Pietro de Vico e Anna Campori, i Fratelli Maggio "Dante, Beniamino, Rosalia e Pupella", Angela Luce, Lina Sastri, Luisa Conte, Regina Bianchi, Sergio Bruni, Fausto Cigliano, Mario Merola, Aurelio Fierro, Mirna Doris, Luciano e Giacomo Rondinella, Nunzio Gallo, Tony Astarita, Nino Fiore, Tony Bruni Claudio Villa e tantissimi altri
