Musician

Anastasia Lyutova

Born:

Anastasia Lyutova is one of the most promising young jazz singers in Russia. Born in 1995, she graduated from the Russian Gnesin Academy of Music in Moscow. Her singing style is inspired by Anita O’Day, Mel Torme, Jon Hendricks, Ella Fitzgerald and many other great American singers. In 2016, Anastasia established her own quintet with famous Russian musicians: Roman Sokolov (tenor saxophone), Alexey Podymkin (piano), Vladimir Koltsov-Krutov (bass), Alexey Bekker (drums). Presented in English as “Anastasia Lyutova & The Band”, it is in fact named in Russian with a term craftily derived from her last name: Lyuty Band, which is something like “brave, fierce and violent”. In 2018, she performed in the International Jazz Day campaign in Saint-Petersburg and took part in Igor Butman’s International festival “The Future Of Jazz”
