Angelo Lazzeri Trio: Pipelettes
Si conoscono da tanti anni e su questo Pipelettes il trio mostra comunanza di idee una intesa che trapela nelle loro esecuzioni, sempre molto interessanti. Alle composizioni di Lazzeri, tutte di buon livello, seguono improvvisazioni in cui l'interazione fra i tre è quasi empatica su arrangiamenti di ottima fattura.
Troviamo richiami ai trii per chitarra più classici ma, allo stesso tempo, c'è dentro l'energia mostrata dei gruppi fusion. Una bel cocktail di tradizione e innovazione, fatto senza ricorrere agli standards, se non nell'ultimo brano, un "Alone Togehther" eseguito dal Lazzeri e il basso elettrico di Daniele Mencareli in cui si ascoltano interessanti sostituzioni armoniche.
Nel complesso, questo trio mette in mostra un'ampia cultura jazzistica e riesce a farla fruttare per cinquanta minuti di jazz suonato senza banalità.
