TuneSat, an audio fingerprinting technology that enables rightsholders to track music usage on TV and the net it has raised $6 million in a funding round led by General Electric Pension Trust. Gracenote founder and former CEO Scott Jones together with several existing TuneSat investors, also participated in the round. Jones and Carlos Monfiglio of GE Asset Management will join TuneSat's Board of Directors.
TuneSat will use the new equity capital to expand the global reach of its content monitoring services.

TuneSat utilizes a proprietary audio fingerprint technology and monitors hundreds of broadcasters and millions of global websites allowing content owners to track licened and unauthorized use.
