Tower Records and Blue Note Unveil 10 Unique Compilation CDs Featuring Legendary Jazz Artists from the Blue Note Vault

Themed CDs Feature Tracks from Jazz Greats: John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, Duke Ellington, Herbie Hancock, Sonny Rollins, Chet Baker and more!

SACRAMENTO, March 16, 2006 - Tower Records, America's leading independent music and entertainment retailer, and Blue Note Records, the finest in Jazz since 1939, today announce that they have collaborated to create an unique line of ten compilation jazz CDs which feature some of the greatest legends in jazz performing their greatest jazz tunes. The themed compilations also serve to educate music fans about the rich history and diverse nature of jazz music. In addition, the series features tracks from out of print albums that are unavailable anywhere else.

All titles are priced at $8.99 and will be available on Tuesday, March 21st at all Tower Records locations and are currently available via advance-order online at: http://www.tower.com/bluenote.

As a special introductory offer, customers will receive a free Blue Note CD sampler with the purchase of any of the exclusive Blue Note CDs. Offer is good only while supplies last.
