
Trumpeter/composer Terence Blanchard took home the Grammy Award last night for Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album for his epic A Tale of God's Will: A Requiem for Katrina at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.
The album is an an emotional tour de force of anger, rage, compassion, melancholy and beauty featuring Blanchard's quintet with a 40-piece string orchestra performing music from and inspired by the Spike Lee documentary When The Levees Broke.
