Greg Nathan
Greg Nathan, son of Charles Nathan, (songwriter who penned the music to Perry Como's 1953 hit, “Say Your Mine Again,") and Tonie Nathan, (the first woman in history of the United States to receive an electoral vote for U.S. Vice President while running on the 1972 Libertarian Party ticket,) has opened a website to facilitate holiday sales of the acclaimed CD I'll Think of Something, named after a song from Charles Nathan's musical “Where the Heck's the Plot?" produced in 2009 at the Actor's Cabaret in Eugene, Oregon.

Greg Nathan, is President and CEO in charge of Production and Marketing for Soaring Music Publications. Greg, at the will of his late father, has continued his Dad's music business, Chase Music Company and Nathan and Associates, by merging it with his own music business, Soaring Music Publications. Nathan and Associates' final event and credit in the music industry is that it helped finance the cost of production for the CD I'll Think of Something.

Soaring's newly-launched website can be used now to purchase an I'll Think of Something CD as a last-minute holiday gift. “I'll Think of Something" would be the perfect gift for the swing-jazz music lover, or for the young, aspiring jazz-rhythm-section member who needs something swinging to practice to.

I'll Think of Something features the duo of Greg Nathan on string bass and voice, and Mike Denny on jazz guitar. Over the CD's 48-minute music program, which includes nine jazz standards, it is amazing how engaging this duo is. Critic Scott Yanow, (LA Jazz Scene) said “Greg Nathan is an excellent jazz bassist," I'll Think of Something is “...a fun set of excellent jazz," and Mike Denny is a “world-class guitarist."

You can download a PDF file of the CD's 12-page booklet, hear the title track, see the sale prices, and review the album's track samples here.

Nathan says, “The website is really about connecting with musical-theater people who are interested in staging one of Chuck's musicals. If we can have some success with the musicals, then some of the those songs might make their way into the recording industry as jazz instrumentals. It's sad that there's hardly any new, popular songs that the jazz, master-musician can expand on. Since my dad left behind many good songs, Soaring is trying to do something to improve the situation."
