SIGNAL to NOISE, the quarterly journal of improvised & experimental music, is pleased to announce the release of our 32nd issue. The winter 2004 edition is highlighted by Ed Hazell's in-depth article on WILLIAM PARKER's LITTLE HUEY CREATIVE MUSIC ORCHESTRA, with original portrait photos of the band in NYC's East Village by Caroline Bell. We've also got features on guitarist NEIL MICHAEL HAGERTY, Dutch vocalist JAAP BLONK, the collaboration between Phish keyboardist Page McConnell's jazz / funk trio VIDA BLUE and Little Havana's SPAM ALL-STARS, profiles on JOANNE POW!ERS and FRITZ WELCH, Tom Djll's tribute to MATTHEW SPERRY, a reassessment of JIMMY LYONS via his new Ayler box-set, live reviews including Baltimore's HIGH ZERO and JOHN ZORN's 50th birthday celebration, book reviews, over 150 reviews of new cd releases and reissues, and lots more.

We hope you'll take a moment to check out our NEW website, which contains a sneak preview of the new issue and more detailed information about the magazine, where we're available, and how to subscribe.
