Seattle's Origin Records presents the 2006 Ballard Jazz Walk. For one night, Seattle jazz lovers will crowd the streets of Ballard as it hosts 33 top-tier Northwest jazz musicians performing in 8 of the clubs, restaurants and speciality shops along historic Ballard Avenue. Tickets will cover all venues and can be purchased from the website www.ballardjazzfestival.com or from the New York Fashion Academy (5201 Ballard Ave NW) on the day of the event. Featured artists include: Greta Matassa, Pearl Django, Matt Jorgensen + 451, Thomas Marriott's Willie Nelson Project, Ben Thomas Group, The Origin ber Band, Bill Anschell, Collier & Dean, and more.
The Jazz Walk is a bi-annual event taking place as part of the 4- day Ballard Jazz Festival in the Spring and as a stand-alone event in the fall. Created to showcase Seattle's outstanding jazz community in a quintessential Seattle neighborhood, the Jazz Walk has been attended by hundreds over the past 3 years and has become one of the highpoints on Seattle's jazz calender.
