“’Play It Lillith’ is the ultimate smooth jazz piece. The type of song you sit back and have a sip of your favorite wine and relax to some super soulful sax, big Hammond B3, and full theater setting sounds that are sure to please your ear,” says Ronald Wayne. “This song is inspired by an old visit to the Colorado high country. One of my old stomping grounds.”
This piece reminds him of a small bar he once visited in southern Colorado out in the middle of nowhere at 7,000 feet high, where he heard a local band play with a female saxophonist named Lillith, who was simply phenomenal. His memory of her playing, along with her good looks, impressed and brought back a flood of great memories from that place and time.
