Hosted by Emerson College student Lydia Liebman, “Reeds & Deeds II" is the new home for jazz on WECB Online Radio. Bringing jazz beyond the campus of Emerson College, Liebman's weekly Sunday evening broadcasts include a mix of tunes from new releases and rare recordings, book readings, current tour updates and exclusive interviews with current jazz musicians.

Some recent highlights include her celebration of Thelonious Monk's birthday and readings from Geoff Dyer's book, But Beautiful.

While studying at Emerson, Liebman is also taking classes and voice lessons at Berklee College of Music and has performed with jazz greats Phil Woods, Richie Beirach and Billy Hart among others.

“Reeds & Deeds II" takes its name from Liebman's father, world-renowned saxophonist Dave Liebman, who had his own radio show at NYU during his college career. The name originates from Roland Kirk's album of the same name.
