Jacksonville, FL: The momentum is building around Jacksonville musician Allen Weber and his release of the Allen Weber Hot Shock album (CD and digital album) with it now in rotation on several UK radio stations, radio stations in the USA picking it up, and Allen Weber having just completed an interview with Christopher Bowie for his jazz radio show on WVUM (90.5 fm) in Miami. Now, Allen Weber has just signed a distribution agreement with on-line distributor/music store squidco.com who specializes in a wide variety of improvisational music.

“Squidco.com has a very eclectic offering of material, and are specialized on selling improvised, composed & unusual music from around the globe.” said Allen Weber, “And the Hot Shock CD was all improvised. We had the basic structures, but we were improvising through the entire recording. Which is why I wanted ti all recorded live, everyone in the same room playing at the same time. You get more energy and excitement in a recording that way.”

Currently Squidco.com is selling and delivering physical products only. There is nothing like the feeling of actually holding a product in your hands and reading about it while listening.

Weber's Hot Shock band for the recording consisted of Guitar: Weber; Keyboards: Mike Noble; Bass: John Baker; Drums: Frank Basile. Weber and Noble added a touch of vocals to a couple of tracks.

Weber, – who like a lot of artists whose name is on their band, is the artist and uses “hired guns” for recording and performances – has been playing guitar and writing music since 1969 cites influences for his Sandunga Jazz Fusion music as: Joe Zawinul; Weather Report; Ramsey Lewis; Chick Corea and Return to Forever; Jeff Beck; Arturo Sandoval; Cannonball Adderley; Crusaders; John McLaughlin; and Carlos Santana (when he was playing jazz fusion in the late 70's).

Hot Shock physical CD's are available at CD Baby, Amazon, among other stores, and digitally available at iTunes, Last.Fm, Spotify and more, and TheJazzBox.ca and now squidco.com.

Allen Weber is available for interviews. If you need music for a review, or for radio play please ask.
