Brooklyn, NY -- If you could grab electricity in the air, and turn it into a Kubrick film without the film, what would it sound like? Find out when Todd Merrell joins forces with musicians Casey Block and Lou Rossi on Tuesday, May 23, 2006, at 8:00 pm in 'On the Way Out' at Freddy's Bar and Backroom, 485 Dean Street, Brooklyn, New York - suggested donation: $5. Merrell makes sounds from the sky, instruments from machines, and cinematic music from noise. Casey Block turns synthesizers into hypnotic apparitions, and Lou Rossi transforms guitars into evolving dreamscapes.

Quite enjoyable detailed obscure spaces in there." - Francisco Lopez
Merrell and Jordan construct and traverse a fascinating soundscape - choral undulations, mechanical grindings, distant swoops and plunges, waves of white noise. As one vein is exhausted, they find another to mine, moving the piece along at just the right moment and settling momentarily, at just the right place." - Lou Mallozzi, P-Form Magazine, USA
Thanks to the composers' sensitivity to sonic nuances, they remind us that this old and still ubiquitous technology - this radiophonic nowhere - can be a pleasant place to travel." - Eric Leonardson, New Art Examiner, USA
