The third annual Melrose JazzFest will take place on Sunday, October 18, at Memorial Hall, 590 Main St., Melrose, beginning at 2:00 PM, with a concert for kids and families featuring Sol Y Canto, internationally known Latin group. Performing for Sol Y Canto will be Rosi and Brian Amadour and their twin 13-year-old daughters.
The 3:30 PM performance will be the Melrose Jazz Collective with Dominique Eade, fetauring Bruce Gertz, Joe Mulholland, Ricardo Monzon, Bill Reynolds, and Jeff Galindo.
The headliner, at about 5:00 PM will be Maggie Scott and Friends, featuring jazz vocalists Rebecca Parris, Donna Byrne, Wanetta Jackson, Steve Mavin, Paul Broadnax, and Charles Turner II.
Tickets cost $15 for adults and $7 for seniors/students/children, available by phone, 617-957-1697. Catering by Tex's BBQ Express and cash bar for beer and wine.
