Gustavo Santaolalla is an Argentinean musician and producer who was one of the pioneers of “rock en Espaol," a fusion of Latin rhythms and American rock and roll. Now based in Los Angeles, he has composed scores for a number of films, including “21 Grams," “The Motorcycle Diaries," and “Brokeback Mountain," for which he won an Academy Award.

Jon Lee Anderson is a staff writer at The New Yorker. He has reported frequently from Iraq and Afghanistan, and has written about Hugo Chvez, Fidel Castro, and Gabriel Garca Mrquez, among others. His books include “The Fall of Baghdad," “The Lion's Grave: Dispatches from Afghanistan," and “Che Guevara: A Revolutionary Life."
