Dubbed “the Norah Jones of the Middle East,” Jordanian virtuoso Farah Siraj launches her latest project in New York, The Arabian Jazz Project, in collaboration with award-winning pianist and arranger, Victor Gutierrez.

Siraj leads an ethnically diverse quintet based in New York. With Farah Siraj from Jordan, Victor Gutierrez from Spain, Matt Geraghty from the United States, George Mel from Georgia and Kinan Idnawi from Syria, the project is a cultural melting pot where Middle Eastern rhythms and melodies blend naturally with Jazz and Western Harmonies. Recorded in New York City with Grammy Award-winning Jeremy Loucas as co-producer, the project blends the best essences of both worlds. Original compositions and traditional folk tunes deliver a powerful message of love, peace and understanding between cultures.

The World Premier of the Arabian Jazz Project will take place at Drom on Saturday, August 4th at 9pm.
