Eddie Jones has performed nationally and internationally since the late '70s with a diverse group of name artists from the fields of Jazz and rhythm & blues. Jazz-wise, he’s backed the likes of Eddie Green, Sid Simmons, Charles Fambrough, Tony Williams, Hank Crawford and Nina Simone. In the R & B area, Jones has appeared with Eddie Kendricks, David Ruffin, the Delphonics and Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes. At the famed Ortlieb’s Jazz Haus, he was the first caIl sub for the legendary Mickey Roker. Eddie Jones, who received an Associates Degree in Music in 2009, is a swinging, inventive and tasteful player who does exactly what a world class drummer is supposed to do: Make everyone else in the band sound great.
