The freaky computer soul purveyors from Austin, Texas, have the misfortune to be cast into the Sahara tent during Leonard Cohen's sunset serenade Friday.
We won't even mention the neglected stepchildren of the dance scene who will be echoing in the dance tents while Paul McCartney plays for at least two hours. And poor Ida Maria at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
But let's talk about the good things, such as the Mojave tent Sunday. Let's just say that the Mojave is going to be bad-ass for something like 12 hours straight. First of all, the choice to bookend it with the Vivian Girls at 12:45 p.m. and Throbbing Gristle at 10:10 p.m. is just brilliant. But the middle is not soft with No Age, Brian Jonestown Massacre (breakdown alert!), Murder City Devils and spooky ancestors X.
