Responding to his lifelong passion, Goloubev established himself in Milan, Italy, where in the past five years he has recorded an impressive number of sessions and fully established himself on the national jazz scene.
As one-third of the short-lived but highly impressive trio SGS, Goloubev established a musical partnership with drummer Asaf Sirkis and pianist Gwilym Simcock which produced the excellent SGS Group Inc. Presents... (Music Center, 2008), and continues to this day in various projects where any one of the three players acts as leader, including the pianist's lauded Bluese Vignette (Basho) and the bassist's own Metafore Semplici (Emarcy), both released in 2009.
