Andy Polay Quartet Plus Special Guest Vocalist Wendy Martin at the Beanrunner in Peekskill, NY

On Saturday evening, December 19, at 8:00PM, a stellar show will grace the stage at the Beanrunner in Peekskill, NY.

On that night The Andy Polay Bands will take on yet another shape as it continually keeps it fresh while offering real jazz in various forms. After introducing a fantastic quintet their last time at the 'Bean, and offering a stunning show to the standing room house, this will be a quintet with a different equation.

Joining the band that night will be special guest vocalist Wendy Martin. Her funky, sultry, yet cool style has graced sold-out crowds at such esteemed venue's as New Orleans' Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro and New York's Blue Note Jazz Club. She has played Broadway, recieving stellar reviews in her role in “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" and more. On December 19, she adds to a mix that will create another show that will surely please the ear of jazz and music fans from far and wide.

Rahn Burton will be on keyboards. His career has spanned the world and graced many albums. His credits include Stanley Turrentine, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Mose Allison, Rashied Ali, Cecil Morgan and countless other credits, including Buddy Guy and Jack Bruce.

On saxaphones will be the great Christopher Brellochs. A master of both classical and jazz, he has played Carnegie Hall, Birdland, 55 Bar, Smoke, Cornelia St. Cafe, and many European venue's. Those who have seen the last two shows by this band have been thrilled by his expertise and he many flavors he offers the palate.

John Goldberg will be on the bass. He plays NY and CT., leading his own bands and is a charter member of the Papahawk Experience. He has performed with this band ove the last several months, to the delight of long time fans and new comers.

Drummer/ bandleader Andy Polay has once again put together a high quality show, the likes of which have been been enjoyed in NYC and at many festivals and venues. Besides his collaborations with Rahn Burton, he has played with the likes of bassist Bill Davis(Sun Ra, Ray Charles and many more), Lonnie Leibowitz, Margaret Slovak, Jorge Sylvester, Nora McCarthy, and more.

The Beanrunner, nestled in the city of Peekskill in Westchester, is at 201 S. Division Street at Esther St. It has a warm atmosphere reminiscant of Soho and their menu grows on show night, as they add jerk chicken platters and finger foods to their soups, salads, and sandwiches.
