The All About Jazz Musician Center is growing by the day and has just eclipsed 30,000 musician profiles.

AAJ profiles work a little like Wikipedia, where musicians, fans, industry folks can create and maintain them. Most of the profiles are created by an individual, but we now create skeleton profiles from CD reviews and calendar date submissions. We're asking musicians and readers to claim unfinished profiles to contribute bios, upload photos, insert videos, and add related links.

To request access to a profile, click the “Request Profile Access" link within the “CONNECT" box on the right side of a profile page. Example...

Once approved, you'll receive an email message with a link to edit the profile.

And like Wikipedia, musician profiles can be maintained by several people, so if you are the musician, you can collaborate on your profile with your publicist, your spouse, your record label, a valued friend or fan.

Here are a few examples of completed profiles:

Joshua Redman | Hiromi | Jason Moran | Kurt Rosenwinkel

And a few incomplete profiles:

Michael Moore - Clarinet | Bill Reichenbach | Jason Rebello | Anthony Cox

So please help us build the most complete database of jazz musicians online. Become an All About Jazz profile editor today.
