Following on the heels of the success of the first EP Dub For Mali, the Pleasuretime EP takes the Afrolicious sound to another level of songwriting, production, and dance heavy beats. Dub For Mali topped the #1 spot on Bay Area station KALX, while becoming a “pick of the month" on tastemaker station KCRW with continued spins and strong radio play nation-wide. The Pleaseuretime EP, focuses more on up-tempo tracks like the title track “Pleasuretime" and “Never Let No One" both featuring vocalist Fresh is Life from Trinidad, the combination of Afro-Beat and Disco-House emphasized on these tracks, reflect a hybrid that has been explored since the inception of the Afrolicious party.

“Revolution" featuring Pleasuremaker on lead vocals is a news broadcast set to a funk beat and reflecting the various global movements over the last year with Afro-Beat, Funk, and electronica flavorings. Yacouba Diarra makes a return appearance on “Bade Malou," a more up-tempo follow up to the Dub For Mali title track from the debut Afrolicious release. The deep and meditative vibes of the Ngoni (an acoustic stringed instrument from Africa) are juxtaposed against a danceable beat and bass line, with dubbed out effects. Included as a bonus track is DJ Smash's Deep Dub instrumental version of “What We Came For."

Pleasuretime was produced by Rob Garza of Thievery Corporation.

Afrolicious will be releasing a full-length album later in the year and touring the country both as a live band and as Live PA with percussion. They are releasing an Afrolicious mixtape of the ESL Music catalog the Spring of 2012.

Track listing: Pleasuretime (Feat. Fresh Is Life); Revolution; Never Let No One (Feat. Fresh Is Life); Bade Malou (Feat. Yacouba Diarra); What We Came For (DJ Smash's Instrumental) – [Bonus Track]
