Dine Doneff
Dine Doneff, also known by his Greek citizenship name Kostas Theodorou, is a Macedonian composer and multi-instrumentalist born on June 8, 1965, in West Germany to Macedonian parents. He was raised in the northern Greek prefecture of Edessa. In the 1990s, Doneff worked extensively as an arranger, ensemble director, and producer on studio recordings. Between 2005 and 2011, under the fictional auspices of 'no bizz productions,' Doneff initiated "ninety nine (99)," a series of improvised public rehearsal performances in a small underground theatre in Thessaloniki. Expanding his creative pursuits, Doneff composed for theatre and film and directed short films under the pseudonym Tome Rapovina. In 2017, encouraged by ECM Records founder Manfred Eicher, Doneff co-founded the label neRED music with painter and photographer Fotini Potamia.
