Daniel Dickinson
Daniel has also performed with artists such as the Jacksonville Symphony, The Savannah Philharmonic, Ben Folds, Jennifer Holliday, The Spinners, and many others. He is also a member The Mica Bethea Big Band, based in Jacksonville.
Daniel is currently working on an undergraduate double major in jazz studies on the saxophone and clarinet performance at the University of North Florida, where he has studied with Bunky Green, Todd Del Giudice, Lynne Arriale, Sunshine Simmons, and Guy Yehuda.
Daniel was accepted to and performed with the 2014 Disney All-American College Band presented by Yamaha, for which he was selected from a large number of musicians auditioning from all around the country, covering all degree levels, to form a 21-member band.
Daniel has recently recorded his jazz debut album, featuring his original compositions as well as two guest compositions by Michael Dease and Christian Sans, and produced by Ulysses Owens, Jr. Featured in the line-up are:
Joshua Bowlus; Christian Sands(Piano), Ulysses Owens, Jr.(Drums), Reuben Rogers(Bass), Barry Greene(Guitar), Michael Dease(Trombone), Juan Rollan(Tenor Sax), Alphonso Horne(Trumpet), and Mercedes Beckman(Bari Sax).
Daniel's latest project was playing and arranging for a new album by an amazing vocalist and renowned Broadway performer named Carter Calvert, entitled, "It's a Man's World". Also produced by Ulysses Owens, Jr., The album features a host of famed instrumentalists and arrangers, such as Laurence Hobgood, Ben Williams, David Rosenthal, Marco Panascia, and Joel Frahm.
