After a classical education at the Conservatory of Nancy for trumpet, piano (including class Cédric Tiberghien) and chamber music, Jean-René Mourot turned to popular music "in various formations moving between pop, rock and French song. These formations allow him to play at festivals and concert halls (Nancy Jazz Pulsations, Printemps de Bourges, Nuits de Nacre, Sentier des Halles, Zebra Belleville ...), and participate in national radio broadcasts (France Inter, France Bleu …). He worked in various studios (Twin Studios, Studio Garage ...) as a musician and arranger (string quartet, brass quartet) including Paul d'Amour (Wagram Label) in collaboration with Jean-Louis Pierot Bashung, Thiéfaine …). He studied jazz, improvised music and composition (in classes Eric Watson, Bernard Struber) at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg. Obtaining a DEM Mention All right, then it follows a year of development in jazz trio, participating in a project under the direction of Christophe Monniot and plays at Jazz Festival d'Or with his trio "The Tricycle". He is currently working on personal composition projects while cultivating versatility.
The début solo recording of French pianist Jean-René Mourot features a mature artist with a clear aesthetics and musical vision.
