Giancarlo Tossani
His latest album is "Knots and Notes" (Auand Records) - march 2021. Halfway between a musical investigation and a sociological experiment aims to put five musicians of different generations face to face with the repertoire of an eclectic of free jazz (and not only) as the double bassist William Parker. “Knots and Notes” was born this way, with a strong drive generated not only by curiosity but by what binds (and unties) human beings with different backgrounds, lived in eras that have only a few decades in common, sometimes even just a few years.Leading the Big Monitors, a quintet that sees Gabriele Mitelli (trumpet, alto flugelhorn, synth), Tobia “Bobby” Bondesan (alto sax), Michele Bondesan (double bass), Andrea Grillini (drums), and the participation of the young Amanda Noelia Roberts (on vocals in two tracks).
