Dr. Warren Ertle

Dr. Warren Ertle is a composer, arranger, bandleader, and pianist based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He holds degrees in music composition from Mississippi College, Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and The University of Alabama. Considered a rising authority on the music of the Ragtime Era and American Jazz Age, Ertle performs regularly as a soloist, and is the bandleader of the "hot jazz" orchestra, Dr. Warren Ertle’s Corpse Revivers. When Ertle is not performing solo or on the bandstand, he remains an active sideman and has performed with Herb Gardner, Adam Swanson, Kimberly Hawkey, Dan Gabel, Vince Giordano, and more. Ertle is an active recording artist and has appeared as a guest on All Saints by Jason Baker, Let’s Get Away From It All by Dan Gabel & His Orchestra, and has released his debut album, Dr. Warren Ertle Plays Jelly Roll Morton. Ertle serves on the board of directors of the American Big Band Preservation Society, Inc.
