James Shearer is a Regency Professor in the Music Department at New Mexico State University, in Las Cruces, NM. He is also a professional musician, spanning a multi-decade career as a professional tuba player, french horn, and many other brass and orchestra instruments. Mr. Shearer also is a member of the El Paso Brass Quartet, a troupe of brass players apart of the El Paso Orchestra.
