About the Album
Galaxy attempts to capture the unexplored elements of Jazz such as harsh over-blowing with a standard swing tempo while maintaining an element of restraint. Landen, the leader of this session, controls the intensity of this tune while the drummer, Rob Howell, provides a constant and steady swing rhythm. While the two styles appear to be at odds, the artists blend them masterfully to create a dramatic and artistic effect.
