About the Album

The John Cooper Jazz Orchestra features trombonist Rick Simerly on this haunting and beautiful ballad. The composition is a tribute to Royden "Chuch" Magee who died while on tour with the Rolling Stones in Toronto Canada, July 18, 2002. "And Now You're Gone" also serves as the Communion movement of the Baecker Jazz Worship Service. As you listen, perhaps you'll remember someone loved and lost.
